About

Having completed her training in 2010 at at the University of Lincoln, acheiving a first class honors degree. Juliet was keen to get going on her career gaining first hand experience working for a multitude of large well known public institutions and heritage organisations. Initially launching her career at a fine arts studio specialising in  high art works,  sculpture, frames, decorative objects and decorative furniture,  servicing clients the likes of Southerby's and Christie's Auction houses.  This was followed by a stint overseas in post-earthquake conservation salvage for social historical objects and archeological ceramic collections. This was in association with Chritchurch museum in New Zealand. Overseas work was continued with a bench based conservation role in the exhibition department for the Sharjah Museum Services in the UAE. Juliet returned to the UK to pursue on-site work in numerous historic houses,  palaces and churches. Initially working mostly in stone and wood on painted, gilded and highly decorative interiors. Juliet then spent some years at an Acredited Conservator-Restorer workshop, engaging her interest in textile conservation and developing carpet conservation skills in line with the specialism of the studio. Due to this Juliet has a wide ranging skill set and experiance in a multitude of composite objects, surfaces and finishes. Juliet now works as an Independent free-lance conservator in the South West and can provide a professional,  comprehensive and fairly priced service.
